Ten-year-old Ellie Baker-Carrillo sells her homemade slime at the West End Market at Dodge Avenue and Church Street. She uses glue (Elmer’s is the best, she says), detergent, borax powder and baking soda to make the custom slime and sells it in 10-ounce jars. “I like the texture and how it makes me feel,” she said. “When I’m sad or mad I play with it and feel much better.” (Online: Elie’s Slime Shop.) The market, which featured more than a dozen vendors, runs from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturdays until Sept. 24. (Photo by Richard Cahan)
