Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois, which delivers meals to seniors and others unable to prepare their own food at home, is conducting its annual Thanksgiving pie sale.

The fundraiser offers four varieties of pie for sale: apple, pumpkin, sweet potato and dark chocolate pecan bourbon, which the nonprofit describes as “everything you want in a dessert at Thanksgiving.” The website says: “A nip of sweet, caramel-scented bourbon adds depth to the traditional super-sweet filling; chocolate levels it up with its rich texture and just a hint of balancing bitterness.”
All pie flavors are $25 each. Pie orders end on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
Once ordered, pies will be available for pickup on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at three locations:
- From 2 to 5 p.m. at the Meals on Wheels office and kitchen, 1723 Simpson St. in Evanston.
- From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Muller Subaru, 1350 Park Ave. W in Highland Park.
- From noon to 2 p.m. at Park City’s City Hall, 3355 Belvidere Road in Park City.
More information on the pie sale is available at the Meals on Wheels website.
