The classical a cappella group Coriolis will celebrate its 35th season with two holiday concerts. They will take place 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1509 Ridge Ave. and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 939 Hinman Ave.
The concerts are comprised of adventurous arrangements of traditional holiday themes and modern compositions relating to the winter holidays.
In memory of its founder and long-time director Gregg Skalinder (1944-2022), Coriolis will accept freewill offerings at both holiday concerts, rather than charging per-person admissions. Some of the proceeds will go to St. Mark’s Organ and Piano Fund and to St. Luke’s general operating fund.
