Rembrandt Chamber Musicians get casual with 17th century music by Nicola Matteis. “Most of the pieces we play are formal,” said violinist John Macfarlane, who is also Rembrandt’s artistic director, “this one is more fun. It even involves some improvisation.” Macfarlane was joined by Calum Cook on cello and Brandon Acker on baroque guitar. Their performance was part of Rembrandt’s Holiday Baroque concert attended by 200 at Alice Millar Chapel on the Northwestern campus. (Photo by Richard Cahan)
