The City’s Reparations Committee has extended the deadline of its Reparations Youth Art Contest to Jan. 9. As a part of the contest, Evanston youth are encouraged to submit art that responds to the question, “What comes to mind when you think of reparations?” Participate by submitting art in any form for a chance to win $200!
Contest rules:
- Artists must be Evanston residents or students between the ages of 2 and 22 or an Evanston youth organization that caters to those ages 2 through 22.
- Files must not exceed 50mb.
- Art must be emailed to artscouncil@cityofevanston.org with the subject line: “Evanston Youth, Reparations, and the Arts/YOUR NAME,” or delivered in person to the security desk on the ground floor of the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave.
- All submissions must be received by 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9.
- The contest is limited to one submission per person/organization
