Traffic guys Brad Kolff, in the crane, and Joe Cesario re-install a signal toppled to the ground by a truck turning right off Ridge Avenue onto Dempster Street. The city crew carefully disassembled the signal. “If I turned the power off, we’d have a huge problem with traffic,” said Cesario, an electrician with 20 years of experience. But he’s not immune to a minor electric shock. “Sometimes it tickles a little, but it’s part of the job.” The two tied a rope around the 17-foot pole, lifted it into place and later reattached the lights.
