Lori Lippitz and members of Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation’s house band Heavy Shtetl gear up the synagogue’s Hanukkah celebration the evening of Dec. 16.

Hanukkah, the eight-day holiday often called the Festival of Lights, begins this year on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 18, and continues until the evening of Monday, Dec. 26.
