“There is nothing more amazing than seeing your kid set their sights on something and see it come to fruition through their own effort,” said Lisa Simone (right) of her son, Gabe Rosen, when he signed to play football with Valparaiso University. “We are here just to support him . . . and write the checks,” said Gabe’s other parent Maryl Rosen (left) on national signing day. Said Evanston coach Mike Burzawa of his star offensive lineman: “Reliable, dependable, accountable. I don’t think Gabe ever missed a practice.” (Photo by Richard Cahan)

Congratulations, Gabe!
Time flies. Wishing you all the best as you head off to college.
We’ve been lucky to have the Simone Rosens as our neighbors for 14 years. Gabe is a kind, thoughtful, and generally wonderful human being. It is awesome to see him continually shine and can’t wait to watch all the amazing things he will undoubtedly do. Go Gabe!
