Roller skating returns to the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center for the first time in years. Skating used to be a beloved part of the center at 1655 Foster St., but that ended when Fleetwood’s basketball court floor was flooded and replaced in 2018. Parks and Recreation hired a vendor to lay a temporary plastic floor for one day only last week. Kim Geiger Evans, who drove from Wheeling, remembers skating there in the late 1960s. “I wish they could do it over and over again.” (Photo by Richard Cahan)

I wish that Evanston actually HAD a roller rink for all. And a bowling alley.
And a pool room. How about some of these “immersive experiences” for our kids. Tired of going to Skokie.
