Nothing says January like lifeless Christmas trees along the streets. Why was this tree, on the 1400 block of Judson Avenue, kicked to the curb so early? “It was a matter of having labor in the house,” said homeowner David Haracz. His five children were all home from school and were willing to take down decorations and remove the tree. “It’s the earliest we’ve had it out,” he said. Trees will be picked up through Jan. 27 on garbage days. String lighting can be recycled at the Levy Senior Center, Ecology Center and Robert Crown Center. (Photo by Richard Cahan)
