It’s that day, the day we celebrate love. That’s what Lingzhou Yu and Matthew Marx did as their two young sons played in Raymond Park. Lingzhou, 37, met Matthew, 35, in Korea in 2012. She was a buyer; he was a middle school teacher. Love at first sight? “I’d say so,” he said. “I didn’t know at first,” she said. Their challenge: “significant cultural differences.” Lingzhou is from China and Matthew from Wisconsin. “The grandparents are both too far away,” said Lingzhou. How will they celebrate Valentine’s Day? “We will make it special somehow,” said Matthew. He should know how because he’s a couples therapist. (Photo by Richard Cahan)
