The Evanston Township High School boys basketball team had several reasons to celebrate at Beardsley Gym on Tuesday, Feb. 14: It was Valentine’s Day, it was Senior Night and it was another victory for the Wildkits, this time defeating the Vernon Hills Cougars 65-44 in a Central Suburban League crossover game.

Seniors on the team are Prince Adams, Malachi Barrett, Addison Blough, Rey Catuy, Ephraim Chase, Hunter Duncan, Jonathan Maerklin, Colin McDonald, Nik Raic, Jonah Ross and Josh Thomas.

More sources for Wildkit pride was the news that Prince Adams and Josh Thomas were selected to first team CSL-South All-Conference and Jonah Ross was selected for the CSL-South Sportsmanship award.

The Wildkits’ final game of the regular season is 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Beardsley against Lake Forest.

Then the ETHS boys will face Conant High School in Hoffman Estates on Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the regional semifinals of the Illinois High School Association Class 4A sectional tournament.

  1. Great story, my son transferred in to ETHS as a senior. It’s been a great experience for him and our family
