The latest in golf technology. Gregory Rash uses a fob to direct his remote-controlled electric push cart on the 16th hole of Canal Shores Golf Course. “When you golf as many times as I do, it kind of makes sense,” said Rash, who spent $1,500 on the cart. He played Sunday with three friends in snow, rain and hail. Canal Shores will be reconstructed later this year. Individual holes will be closed starting in early June and the entire course will be shut down at the end of July for about a year. Four holes will be redesigned and one hole added, said General Manager Tom Grey. New irrigation and drainage will be installed and the course will be reseeded. The course is 103 years old.
