“We always complain, but people don’t vote,” said Luis Murillo when asked why people should vote in the April 4 election. Three seats on the District 65 school board are up for election, as well as four seats (one two-year and three four-year positions) on the Evanston Township High School board and two spots on the Oakton College board. In addition, two wards – the Second and Ninth – are electing their City Council representatives. Early voting continues through Monday at the Morton Civic Center. Murillo paused outside Robert Crown Community Center with daughters Luna, 9, and Luci, 5. He was one of 10 eligible voters who were asked why they will cast ballots.
