“I’m here because my brother was killed in gun violence,” said Noelle Sullivan, who stands near the back of a rally for gun violence prevention. Adam Colquhoun was shot to death in a bar by a stranger in 2018. Sullivan, who has been writing a memoir about her life with him, said: “It’s a club you never want anyone to join. It’s utterly devastating. The people left behind are left without a why. Why did this happen?” About 100 people attended the rally at The Rock on the Northwestern University campus. It was organized by the Northwestern chapter of Students Demand Action. (Photo by Richard Cahan)
