The Evanston North Shore Branch of the NAACP is requesting relief items to assist families devastated by a tornado that hit Rolling Fork, Mississippi on March 24. Donations will be accepted through May 8.
Items needed include:
T-Shirt Packs – men, women, children
Socks – men, women, children
Under garments – men, women, children
Flip Flops – men, women, children
Toiletries – toothbrushes, tooth paste, deodorant, Vaseline, mouthwash, alcohol,
lotion, mini first-aid kits, shower caps, hand sanitizer, combs, hair brushes, headbands,
shampoo, feminine care products, sun screen, aspirin, ointment
Back packs, sleeping bags, deck of cards, small games for kids
Paper plates, zip lock bags, trash bags
Experienced truck driver needed for delivery to Rolling Fork, MS
Items can be dropped off at 700 Mulford St. or Ten Thousand Villages, 915 Chicago Ave. Hours: M-F: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sat: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sun: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
