The Evanston/Skokie District 65 PTA Equity Project is hosting a free event for the Evanston/Skokie School District 65 community to celebrate the end of the school year.
PEP Fest will be held 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, at the Washington School playground, 914 Ashland Ave.
This event is the second ever of its kind and will include free activities for all ages, as well as vendors featuring art, crafts, clothing, jewelry and food. There will be an amazing list of raffle items donated to PEP Fest by our vendors, local businesses and community partners. There will also be a split-the-pot raffle, book swap and spirit wear swap. We will celebrate 5th and 8th grade promotions and welcome families and staff new to the district.
RSVP here and don’t forget to bring your gently used books and District 65 or District 202 spirit wear for swapping!
Pep Fest is a family-focused, collaborative community effort to raise PTA funds to be equitably distributed across all District 65 schools. PEP works proactively to find ways to disrupt the inequities that can arise among studies, families and educators because of fundraising disparities across District 65 PTAs. In spring 2020, PEP launched its One Fund initiative, with the goal of ensuring a more equitable distribution of PTA fundraising dollars across the district.
