It was a beautiful evening Friday in Mason Park, just right for some bouncing around at the Community Ice Cream Social, presented by STEM School Evanston in collaboration with the City of Evanston’s My City, Your City, Our City Initiative and Northwestern University. Credit: Joerg Metzner
The community ice cream social in Mason Park was postponed last week by the threat of bad weather. But it went off without a hitch on Friday, May 26, and the celebration proved to be worth the wait.
STEM School Evanston presented the event in collaboration with the City of Evanston’s My City, Your City, Our City Initiative and Northwestern University. The party featured music, games, activities, face painting, pizza – and of course, ice cream.
