An accompanying chart shows
the number of new cases per 100,000 people for Evanston, Suburban Cook County,
Chicago and the State. The chart shows that the number of new cases in each
area has come down significantly from near highs on Nov. 17, but the number of
new cases has increased in each area in the last week. The chart also
shows that each area is still much higher than IDPH’s target of 50 weekly
cases per 100,000, a number that would enable a region to effectively contact
trace and suppress the virus.
The
City’s Vaccination Interest Form
The City of Evanston’s
Health and Human Services Department is encouraging all individuals 16 years or
older who live or work in Evanston to complete an online survey to help the
City better understand local vaccine demand and to support its ongoing
vaccination planning and distribution efforts.
The City says that
individuals who complete the City’s COVID-19 Vaccination Interest Form, available at cityofevanston.org/vaccine, will receive regular updates on
the vaccine process and when and where COVID-19 vaccinations will be available
to them. Completing the form will not register individuals to receive a
vaccine. For households with more than one person, each individual should
complete the form separately.
