On March 14, Evanston police and the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force charged a 38-year old Chicago man with two counts of First Degree Murder of Angel Miranda, a 33-year old Chicago man, said Commander Ryan Glew of the Evanston Police Department.

Mr. Miranda suffered numerous gunshot wounds to the torso, and police found his body behind the 1800 block of Simpson Street on March 8, said the Commander. Mr. Miranda was allegedly in the area visiting his girlfriend, the Commander added.

The man charged with murdering Mr. Miranda was allegedly romantically involved with Mr. Miranda’s girlfriend said the Commander.
