The Harley Clarke Community (HCC) invites Evanston residents to hear from experts and discuss strategies to fund the priorities identified at previous HCC gatherings for the Harley Clarke mansion and Jens Jensen Gardens as well as the funding of the restoration and maintenance of the house and gardens. The conversations will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on April 4 in the Parasol Room of the Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave.

Representatives from Theaster Gates, Stoney Island Arts Bank (Stony Island Arts Bank); Lakeside Arts in Crystal Lake (Lakeside Arts Park at the Dole); and Hauberg, House, Rock Island (Hauberg House) will give an overview of their projects and answer questions.

The Harley Clarke Community seeks to attract all residents, including many who have not traditionally accessed this Northeast lakefront part of Evanston (African Americans, Latinos and Asians) to engage and collaborate on the future of this public lake house and gardens.
