March 24.  In honor of 2020 National Drinking Water Week, May 3-9, the City is hosting an art contest for third grade students in Evanston to celebrate the contest's theme, "There when you need it." The purpose of NDWW is to celebrate water by recognizing the essential role it plays in daily life.

Community members are encouraged to cast their vote online at surveymonkey.com/r/ndww2020 by 5 p.m. on April 6 to determine this year’s People's Choice Award winner.

Awards will include Evanston beach tokens for the 2020 summer, a plaque recognizing their achievement, and a chance to have their artwork displayed at the main Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave., during Drinking Water Week.
