District 65 is seeking feedback from residents across Evanston and Skokie for the creation of a Leadership Profile for its next Superintendent. The K-8 public school district has embarked on a nationwide search for its next leader who will begin in summer 2020.

“All community members have something important to share about the vision for District 65 and the qualities of new leadership,” said Suni Kartha, Board President. “We are committed to a transparent and inclusive search process and are encouraging all to participate.”

All residents are invited to an open forum on Thursday, September 12, from 7-8pm, at King Arts (2424 Lake Street, Evanston).

survey is available in English and Spanish through September 15 at midnight for those who are unable to attend Thursday’s community forum. Hard copies are available at all D65 schools, Evanston Public Library (Main Branch), Levy Center, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, and at the Joseph E. Hill Education Center. Hard copies must be dropped off at one of these locations by Friday, September 13, at 2pm.

Information gathered as part of the community survey, targeted focus groups, and community forum will be used to develop a leadership profile that contain the qualities, skills, and characteristics desired for the next superintendent of District 65.
