Thursday, December 5, 7:45 - 9 pm, Children's Conference Room, Main Library
In this book group for parents of boys ages 0-14 years old, we read engaging children's literature featuring fully-realized boy characters and discuss the story in an effort to better understand the challenges our boys face at home and in the world. Co-led by a teen services librarian and father, and a former family systems therapist at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, this bookgroup gives parents a chance to understand their sons better and learn strategies for giving boys the support they need to thrive.
Our December book will be The Things A Brother Knows by Dana Reinhart.
Please register online, at the children's desk, at the Loft desk, or by calling (847) 448-8610, and then read the book prior to our meeting (copies available at the children's desk).
If you are a two-parent household, both parents are strongly encouraged to attend.
Note: parents only. No children, please.
