Details | Piven Theatre will host the Illinois premiere of the nationally recognized The Telling Project, in which area veterans and veterans’ family members tell their stories of service to their communities. The goal of these performances is to strengthen communities by building bridges of understanding between civilian community members and those who have served. The production will run October 11 - October 14 and October 19 - October 21. General admission tickets are $20.The October 13 Benefit Performance is $50 and will raise funds so that veterans may have free admittance to all seven shows. This showing will include a post-performance dessert reception. The Illinois performances are made possible by the Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute for Mental Health at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, the Piven Theatre and The Telling Project. The project is partially funded by the Evanston Arts Council in partnership with the City of Evanston and the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency. |
