Caitlin Molly Walsh, age 43, died unexpectedly on Sept. 11, 2023 in Chicago. She is survived by her mother, Leslie (Bloom) Walsh, her sister, Megan Walsh, her brother, Adam Walsh and sister-in-law, Jenny (Weflen) Walsh, her nieces Josie and Mallory Walsh, and her caring stepmother Deborah (Locke) Walsh. They, and her countless aunts, uncles, and cousins, will miss her smiling face and loving heart.

City receives grant to enhance urban forest health in channel-side parks
The City of Evanston has been awarded an $802,500 Urban and Community Forestry Grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service Agency to support a comprehensive project aimed at improving the health and sustainability of the urban forest in Evanston’s channel-side parks. This funding will cover a period of five years and will not require any additional financial commitment from the city beyond its regular operations.
