Mudlark Theater presents Lot 47

Mudlark Theater presents Lot 47, at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, Friday, June 10, Saturday, June 11, Sunday, June 12 and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 at 1417 Hinman Ave., Evanston. Plenty of students at Ida B. Wells Middle School know about Lot 47. Unseen and untouched by teachers, it’s a safe haven where kids can connect and be themselves after school. But when their favorite place to take risks becomes the backdrop for a viral video in which someone gets hurt, suddenly their hideout, and the connections they’ve built there, are under threat. This world premiere play, written by Christina Lepri and directed by Jamie Macpherson, will be performed on the raised courtyard and lot behind Mudlark’s headquarters. Tickets are $15.
