The African American Heritage Sites Program
Honoring local historic and contemporary sites important to the African American community.
Please join us on Saturday, August 13, 2022, beginning at 2 p.m. for the unveiling of two more historic markers:
Site #3: Home of Evanston’s first African American documented resident at 325 Dempster Street at 2 p.m.
and
Site #8: Home of the Evanston Sanitarium at 1918 Asbury Avenue at 3 p.m.
