Community Art Build Workshop: The Bias Inside Us

Make art with Kids Create Change in response to the Bias Inside Us exhibit!

Visitors of all ages are invited to add to a community tapestry that will weave together our individual commitments to acknowledge and combat bias within ourselves and in our community.  The workshop will include an introduction to art making for social change and the opportunity to discuss themes explored in the exhibition.  All materials will be provided and no previous art experience is necessary.

This event is being held in conjunction with “The Bias Inside Us” exhibit organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. The exhibit can be viewed on the 3rd floor of the Main Library from April 9 through May 8, 2022.

We recommend that workshop attendees spend some time viewing the exhibit before the workshop.

This workshop will repeat every Saturday during the exhibit through Saturday, May 7, 1:00-2:00pm.
