Conference – “Its Tough Enough”; Adolescent Mental Health in Our Changing World

June 12th, 2022 @ 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

$45.00

This is the 20th annual community conference of the Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute for Mental Health Education at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Founded by an Evanston family to reduce mental health stigma in honor of their beloved daughter, the Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute is a dynamic organization that has been making a significant community impact for over twenty years.

Our annual community mental health conference is our cornerstone event. Each year, we select a timely mental health topic which resonates with members of the general community, individuals and families directly affected by mental health concerns, and mental health professionals. The overarching goal of this year’s conference is to increase participants’ knowledge of issues that impact adolescents and the adults that interact with and care for/about them. Our plenary panel of recognized experts includes:
• Keeshawna Brooks, PhD, NCSP, LP, Associate Department Chair, School Psychology, TCSPP
• Marcus A. Campbell, EdD, Assistant Superintendent/Principal, Evanston Township High School
• Emily Her, Founder and Creative Director, Her.e Designs
• Jonathan B. Singer, PhD, LCSW, Associate Professor of Social Work, Loyola University Chicago

Our morning panel will be followed by afternoon breakout sessions. Exhibitors will include various community agencies and services.
