District 202 School Board Candidate Forum 7 p.m. at ETHS

The League of Women Voters of Evanston and ETHS Parents Engaged will host a forum for candidates running for District 202 School Board in the upcoming April 4 Consolidated Election. The forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, March 9, in room N-112 at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave.

The public is invited to attend the forum and ask questions of the candidates. Suggested questions may be e-mailed in advance to ethsparentsengaged@gmail.com.  The moderator will be from outside the boundaries of the contested race. Candidates for three 4-year terms are: Monique Parsons, Leah Piekarz, Elizabeth Rolewicz and Kristen Scotti. And Mirah Anti is a write-in candidate for one 2-year term. The forum will be live-streamed on https://youtube.com/live/C5lXeVBbgyE and a video recording of the forum will be posted on the LWV-Evanston website at www.lwve.org from March 10 through Election Day on April 4.

What voters need to know about the April 4 election

Early voting begins on March 20 and continues until April 3. If you are not yet registered to vote, or have moved, visit the Evanston City Clerk’s office in person or online at https://www.cityofevanston.org/government/city-clerk-s-office/elections.  You can also register in-person on April 4 at your polling place. If you wish to vote by mail, you can request at ballot from the Cook County Clerk’s office: https://www.cookcountyclerkil.gov/elections/ways-to-vote/vote-by-mail or by calling 312-603-0946.
