THE EVANSTON ART CENTER (EAC) ANNOUNCES “SUMMER 2023 ART CAMP ENROLLMENT IS NOW OPEN!”
The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is excited to announce that Summer 2023 Art Camp Enrollment is Now Open! EAC is offering various Summer Art Camps for ages 4-18 from June 12 – August 18, 2023.
The Evanston Art Center values creative exploration and cultivation because there is no wrong way to create art! Through different pedagogical approaches, the EAC embraces critical thinking, creative problem-solving, experimentation, and fun! We focus on sharing new techniques and skills to jump-start beginners and enhance existing interests. The EAC is an inclusive space that values multiple perspectives and interpretations both in the classrooms and the galleries. Join us this summer to explore, experiment, and create at the Evanston Art Center!
Each week campers ages 4-5 and 6-8 will create art projects following new and exciting themes. Join us for Space Odyssey, All Things Magic, Tropical Explorations, and more! Although the weekly themes are the same for both age groups, the projects will vary and adapt to each age level.
For campers ages 9-11 and 12-14, EAC offers a wide array of studio art camps including: Filmmaker’s camp, Cartooning, Beginning Sewing, and more! High school students can explore various forms of art with our weekly intensives including Intro to Digital Photography, 3D Printing, Ceramic Handbuilding, and more.
STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES ARE WELCOME!
The EAC welcomes all students with disabilities to join our camps and classes! The EAC is wheelchair-accessible with power-assist doors, an accessible restroom, and an elevator. If your child requires any accommodation to fully participate in the camp, please contact the EAC’s Director of Education with as much advance notice as possible. To ensure a wonderful camp experience, please provide as much information about your child that you feel comfortable with.
FINANCIAL AID/SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE!
EAC is dedicated to making visual art accessible to everyone. Need-based scholarships are available for camps, classes, and workshops. Visit our website or front desk for financial aid applications.
