Evanston Dance Ensemble presents Common Ground

Evanston Dance Ensemble (EDE) presents the first show of its twenty-sixth season: a new, original, site-specific work staged on the grounds of the Robert Crown Community Center in Evanston entitled Common Ground. An exploration of not only the designed environment but also of nature, architecture, and of people, Common Ground was created for this public space and will uniquely explore both what we share and hold in common, as well as the traces we leave behind in the spaces in which we move.

EDE Artistic Director Christina Ernst conceived the production and will choregraph, joined by two professional guest choreographers: Eduardo Zambrana (from Bolivia, a member of Giordano Dance Chicago) and Irfan Qurashi (born in India, a passionate devotee of hip-hop culture, street & social dances, and commercial dance). Audience members will move through the site with the dancers, though there will be some seating available.
