Evanston Grows’ Scarecrow Building Event

All are welcome! Help Evanston Grows build scarecrows to protect and decorate our many vegetable gardens throughout our community.
Saturday, June 25, 1-3 p.m. at Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center parking lot
Supplies provided include hay and a fence post for the base of the scarecrow. We will also have some other materials on hand. We encourage you to bring found objects and/or extra things from home to create your group’s scarecrow. Shinier materials and flowy fabrics seem to be most effective!
These scarecrows will be featured in the Evanston Grows Float at Evanston’s 4th of July parade and will later find a permanent home in our gardens!
