Free Fishing at Lovelace Park

Join the Evanston Ecology Center for Free Access to Fishing, which is back at Lovelace Park! This popular, free program is a great way to introduce children ages four years and up to “catch-and-release” fishing. Equipment, bait and fishing expertise are provided, but feel free to bring your own fishing equipment or bait and we can teach you how to use it. Kids under the age of 16 years don’t need a fishing license but must be accompanied by an adult. For participants 16 yrs or older, Illinois fishing licenses are required and can be purchased online.
