Fundraiser Featuring Great British Bake Off Contestant

Enjoy an evening of music and refreshments at this fundraiser supporting The Newberry Consort, a classical music group in Chicago that specializes in medieval, renaissance and baroque music. The event will feature a special appearance by Jürgen Krauss, a contestant from The Great British Bake Off in 2021. Krauss will be baking a dessert for all of the guests, speaking about his experience on the show and baking a cake that will be auctioned off during the event. In addition, Krauss, who is a historical trombone player, will perform with The Newberry Consort’s four other trombone players. 6-9 p.m. Sunday, May 14 at The Woman’s Club of Evanston, 1702 Chicago Ave., Evanston.
