Hoops for the Ages

The City of Evanston and the Levy Senior Center Foundation are proud to announce the first annual Hoops for the Ages 3-on-3 Senior Basketball Tournament. The tournament will take place at the Robert Crown Community Center and the Levy Senior Center on April 9, 2022 starting at 9:00 AM.

More than 90 female and male basketball players between 40 to 90 years of age are expected to participate in the tournament. Teams are grouped by age: 40-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70-74, and 75+. Each 3-on-3 game is a played with six players (3 per team) on half the court. Just as in traditional basketball, each basket is worth two or three points, with fouls shots earning one point. A game consists of two 15-minute halves.

We invite the community to attend the free tournament to experience senior basketball. If you have some time to spare, please volunteer.
