Join Citizens’ Greener Evanston for a free community celebration to kick off a month of programming for the planet at The WasteShed, Evanston’s new non-profit creative reuse center at 1245 Hartrey Ave., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 1.

The event will have food, drinks, games, dancing and art-making for all ages.

Evanston author Susie Pratt will read excerpts from her new book More or Less: Essays from a Year of No Buying about the year her family spent trying to step outside of the flow of American consumerism.
