Lecture: Joyy Norris on Black Representation within American Media

June 23rd, 2022 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

This conversational presentation focuses on the history of Black Representation within American media with Joyy Norris.

What it took to make the gains achieved, the continued narrative shift to get to this modern shelf and possibilities of expanding into the infinite future, unapologetically.

Joyy Norris is a Chicago born and reared writer, film programmer and filmmaker. Her work is significantly influenced by her identity as a Black American woman invested in discovering solutions to the issues that plague society through art and conversation.
