North Shore Chamber Orchestra: Chopin Piano Concerto #2

The North Shore Chamber Orchestra will present a concert Sunday afternoon, March 5 at 3:30 pm at its long-time home, the Unitarian Church of Evanston, led by Maestro Anatol Lysenka. After Brahms’s rousing “Haydn” Variations, outstanding young piano soloist Daniel Szefer will perform Chopin’s lively, poetic, folk-inspired Piano Concerto #2, followed after intermission by three additional folk-themed selections, including a rarity by North-Shore composer and pianist George Bánhalmi.

F. Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 21 (Daniel Szefer, piano)
G. Bánhalmi: Rhapszodiai
Z. Kodály: Dances of Galánta
G. Giménez: La Boda de Luis Alonso
Admission is just $15 (age 18 and under free).
Special rate of $10 for groups of 10 or more.
