Panel Discussion: Asian Child White Parent
May 19th, 2022 @ 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
$25.00
In 2021, The Cradle hosted a panel of Asian-American adults who discussed issues facing Asian children growing up in transracial households. The online event was such a success that the nonprofit child welfare agency is hosting a second panel on the subject, titled Asian Child White Parent Revisited. A panel of Asian-American adults will engage in a thought-provoking conversation around cultural histories, navigating challenges associated with loss of culture, handling Asian discrimination and stereotypes, and whether progress has been made.
The Cradle is a 99-year-old nonprofit, licensed child welfare agency providing adoption services, counseling, and educational support. This webinar is part of The Cradle’s Our Children: Education and Empowerment Series. Launched in 2016, the series aims to educate families about the realities and injustices their children may experience and give parents the tools they need to communicate and prepare their children for a society that is far from color-blind.
