Panel: LGBTQ Children and Families

On June 23, 2022, at 7 pm CST, a panel of adoptees will gather virtually to talk about how they’ve navigated identity as an LGBTQ+ person or family, how best to support children in LGBTQ+ families, and what can be done to better represent and normalize LGBTQ+ families. Discussion will also include LGBTQ+ children and families’ experiences with bullying, harassment and victimization.

The Cradle is a 99-year-old nonprofit, licensed child welfare agency providing adoption services, counseling, and educational support. This webinar is part of The Cradle’s Our Children: Education and Empowerment Series. Launched in 2016, the series aims to educate families about the realities and injustices their children may experience and give parents the tools they need to communicate with their children.
