The Evanston History Center’s 47th annual Mother’s Day House Walk-By & More

This year, the Evanston History Center’s (EHC) 47th Annual Mother’s Day House Walk-By will feature a week of programming beginning on Saturday May 7, 2022. For the first time in the walk’s 47-year history, we will explore the Oakton Historic District. This year, we offer self-guided tours of the featured neighborhood (the House “Walk-By”); a zoom presentation with preservation experts, homeowners and architects; a lecture about the CTA Yellow Line, held at the Dawes House; docent led walking tours of the Oakton Historic District; and of course, EHC’s signature House Walk Book. The House “Walk-By”

We invite you to walk, ride or drive by to view the exterior of these houses and structures on the tour. You can experience the House “Walk-By” beginning the day before Mother’s Day, Saturday, May 7, 2022 or any day thereafter you choose, and as many times as you choose.

$35 Minimum Purchase ($30 for EHC members)
• Tickets include an electronic copy of the Housewalk book to enjoy self-
guided tours anytime. Electronic books will be emailed Saturday May 7.
Printed Housewalk books are also for sale: $15 each (available for pick up after Monday May 9)
