The North Shore Choral Society joins ESO to perform Beethoven’s 9th
April 10th, 2022 @ 2:30 PM

The North Shore Choral Society will join the Evanston Symphony Orchestra to present its much-anticipated performance of Beethoven’s groundbreaking 9th Symphony at 2:30 p.m. on April 10 at Pick-Staiger Concert Hall, 50 Arts Circle Drive, Northwestern University campus.
Talented local musicians from the ESO and the North Shore Choral Society will come together to perform this magnificent work, which Beethoven composed when he was almost completely deaf. The concert will open with Festive Overture by William Grant Still. Though he may be lesser-known, Still was a pioneering composer of his time, and his music has been experiencing a resurgence in the classical music world.
Please be aware that this concert will have no intermission and will last approximately 75 minutes. Additionally, the Evanston Symphony requires that masks be worn throughout the performance and that all concertgoers be vaccinated for COVID-19. Please be prepared to show proof of vaccination and a photo ID. The ESO’s full COVID-19 policy can be found here.
