YW Tech Lab Free 4-month online web development program – INFO SESSIONS

YW Tech Lab is a FREE 4-month online web development program presented by YWCA Evanston/North Shore, designed for individuals who are thinking about a career path in IT or coding, but are unsure if it is the right fit.

The program seeks to increase the number of BIPOC women in the Chicagoland tech industry through training and career support.

YW Tech Lab includes intensive technical training, where students learn the foundations of web development including:

Design
HTML
CSS
Javascript

YWCA Evanston/North Shore couples this programming with financial coaching, access to affordable childcare, a personal laptop if needed, and job coaching and placement to ensure each participant’s success.

This program is part of a national partnership with Google.org, YWCA USA and YWCA Madison. YWCA Evanston/North Shore partners locally with Oakton Community College to facilitate the program.
