Beginning this year, the Evanston Folk Festival has been added to the Space and Out of Space family.
On Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8, there will be two days of world-class music on the beautiful lakefront centered around Dawes Park, 1700 Sheridan Road. From 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each day, there will be a true musical celebration of Evanston, featuring over 30 artists, discussions, family programming and much more.
The initial lineup will be announced at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 29.
Over the next week, there will be multiple pop-up box offices around Evanston, where they will be selling early-bird two-day passes with no added service fees and giving away Folk Fest merch (while supplies last) to anyone who purchases four or more tickets. Plus, there will be free coffee and donuts to celebrate.
The pop-up schedule is:
- 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27, at the Dawes House East Lawn, 225 Greenwood St.
- Noon to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 29, at Gearhead, 1600 Sherman Ave.
- 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, at Evanston Pour, 528 Dempster St.
- 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, at Evanston Pour, 528 Dempster St.
