Weekend weather to celebrate—with a Slurpee. That’s exactly what 11-year-old Tucker Thomas McDermott did with dad Tucker Christopher McDermott (they are exact about their names when they are together) after Tucker Thomas’ lacrosse practice. He’s on the Evanston Youth Association Lacrosse team, which opened its season on Sunday with an overtime win against the Arlington Attack. The boy went with a huge raspberry Slurpee; dad followed with a smaller cherry. The Slurpees were their first of the season. Surprisingly, both Tucker McDermotts did not plan on sneaking their big drinks into the house so close to dinner. Said Dad: “We’ll show my wife. I don’t think she’ll care.” (Photo by Richard Cahan)
